Sure. If only he hadn't grossly abused his power in other ways, history would look upon him with a fairer eye.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm called for Texas to weatherize its grid and also said that the state should consider connecting to other parts of the grid in light of a recent storm that left millions without power last month.
Wasn't the failure primarily due to the natural gas lines freezing/buckling?

The overstep of Federal Authority has happened with every President since Washington. FDR was not the first.
In fact, Lincoln, or even Jackson, really expanded Federal Authority, long before FDR.
Yet FDR was the only President who has ever put US citizens who had not broken any law into internment camps where they were imprisoned with no legal proceeding after having their property seized by the state.

Again, I acknowledge that was wrong for FDR to do, it was uncalled for, unnecessary, and disgusting.
BUT, that does not make him one of the worst.

If putting your own people in concentration camps despite them not having committed any crime doesn't make you one of the worst leaders in your country's history, what does?

No matter what though this just seems like another blow to the Dems tbh. If I was a progressive type who held my nose and voted for Biden I'd be fucking outraged. It's been one step back after the other so far.
Found itIndividuals earning over $80,000 now won’t qualify for the payments, compared with a $100,000 cap in the previously drafted legislation, the aide said on condition of anonymity. The ceiling for couples will now be $160,000 against $200,000 before.

This isn't even accurate, and misses many aspects of history as to why the Japanese Empire attacked Pear Harbour.
But this is not the thread to discuss this.
It's oversimplified, but FDR very definitely wanted war with Japan and was deliberately pushing Japan's buttons in the hope that Japan would attack the US. You don't give another country an ultimatum to cease their war in another country or face US military intervention and then don't expect a war. FDR knew the Japanese would respond aggressively to his ultimatum (which was basically a military threat), even if he didn't know they'd blow up half the US Pacific Fleet.

It certainly makes him the worst President in terms of domestic policy in modern US history. No other American President has established concentration camps for American citizens (i.e. the people he represents). If you don't think having literal concentration camps for US citizens who have committed no crime doesn't disqualify you as "one of the best" leaders in a country's history, then you have no ground to criticize Trump on.
