Former Ohio GOP chair Jane Timken will run for Senate. She said she would gladly accept Trump's endorsement.

Eisenhower was very reluctant to run for President. He only ran because of huge draft movement.

Ted Cruz has made a statement, that he, like any normal human being, only flew to Mexico to keep his family company on the plane. As humans do. Normal humans, just like you. Because Ted Cruz is a very normal human being, with an ugly wife nobody would want to bring with them to the beach.

His statement continues: “Sen. Cruz will continue to work for - hey, excuse me, I asked for a double tequila por favor! Can't expect a tip if you can't get it right the first time, eh? Now what was this aboot? Oh, right, a message to the suckers with cold toes. Ahem: To work for 29 million Texans in the Senate.”

Michigan poised to enact the nation's most lenient "expungement" law, loosening the criteria for having a crime erased from one's record

Starting in April, Michigan's expungement rules will be generously expanded, meaning a lot more people with criminal records will qualify.

People will be able to expunge "up to three felonies and an unlimited number of misdemeanors" from their records.”
Two "assaultive" crimes will be allowed, as well as a wide number of traffic and marijuana-related offenses.
Under a "one bad night" rule, multiple felonies or misdemeanors stemming from the same 24 hours can count as a single conviction.

By 2023, Michigan's expungement system will be automated, with misdemeanors automatically cleared seven years after sentencing and felonies after 10 years.

Crimes that can't be expunged include murder, carjacking, kidnapping, and criminal sexual assault.

Why is criminal regular assault not included in cases that cannot be expunged?

As I am not a member of the Michigan state senate, nor a mind-reader, I don’t know.

There are, however, certain limitations-you can only expunge 2 cases of assault, and none of them that happened under the “One Bad Day” rule

Just seems weird to me. I mean I know assault can cover anything from shoving a person to beating them up, but still don't know why it should be expunged.

Biden has declared a state of emergency in Texas

WASHINGTON, DC -- The Biden administration has authorized the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide generators and supplies to Texas and other states amid severe winter weather.

"I've declared states of emergency, authorized FEMA to provide generators and supplies, and am ready to fulfill additional requests," President Biden wrote on Twitter Thursday.

Homeland Security advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall said a short time later that FEMA was deploying the supplies “as we speak.”

Just under a half-million Texas homes and businesses remained without electricity on Thursday, while millions still were without safe drinking water after winter storms wreaked havoc on the state's power grid and utilities this week.

Cher might be good as well. For example she is outspoken against military actions and yet will harass congress to make sure soldiers have the right equipment.

I thought it was 2 million without electricity, not under a half million.

So was he lying when he said it was more of a spontaneous trip, then?

“With school canceled for the week, our girls asked to take a trip with friends," he added. "Wanting to be a good dad, I flew down with them last night and am flying back this afternoon."

Ted Cruz cites “wanting to be a good dad” for traveling to Cancún during Texas power outages

Either way, it's at best a US senator abdicating his responsability to take a joyflight down to Cancun and back.
