Liquid assets are assets that are easily obtainable and usually on hand. (Cash for example)

Non-Liquid assets are assets that aren't easily obtainable as they're usually sequestered away. (Stocks, bonds, etc...)

A liquidity crisis means that there's a lack of liquid assets to spend or trade with (Which means brokerages are running out of cash), that will then cause inflation to go up and the stock market as a whole to go down. (Because, you know, you kinda need money to buy and trade stocks and bonds)
