I think 24 would have been a even more interesting show if the first time he tries to torture someone it doesn't work and then they never do it again because torture doesn't work.
Yeah, or if people died because they relied on intelligence obtained through torture.
I liked that they showed signs of fatigue and hunger in the first season though, it made it a tight thriller when everything felt like it was true to time. However, they quickly forgot about realism afterwards...
