In high school my concert band would compete because bands competing makes total sense and the piece we played had a poem that preceded it, we had the principle read the poem before a performance and she kept getting chocked up despite the poem being six stanza about animals. We were all, "Damn, lady, you just gotta read some words, we got to play this 20th century weirdness."
