My answer to the thread question is that progress is the biggest threat to America. We can only remain a backward superpower for so long until the world community undermines the power that's been terrorizing it. There's also the issue of our subpar domestic institutions, our expanding wealth gap, the growth of China and the European Union, the increasing political polarization around the planet, and of course the climate. These issues may seem unrelated, but they're all connected to progress.

How is progress a threat to America--how are we backward? Not saying there aren't a slew of problems, but why would improving things and working toward healing this horribly divided country be a threat?

There must be change from both top-down and bottom-up for the United States to have a chance at redemption and allowing the "American Dream" to take place of the "American nightmare", but until then I completely agree: American people face the greatest threat from their ruling class and outdated, broken institutions.

Being the only developed nation to lack good healthcare seems rather backwards, as does systematic police brutality and income inequalities. The fact that so many Americans fail to recognise those is a product of the ruling class's influence, which is exactly why I warn Americans that their corporations are their greatest enemy.

Well fucking said. The communist regime operates on a whole different level and mindset than Western democracies do. Fascist and communist tyrants will always interpret earnest gestures of goodwill and generosity as signs of weakness and opportunities to exploit to their advantage. They will always capitalize on even the slightest hint of perceived weakness and hesitation on the part of honest, but deeply misguided liberals such as Obama who tend to view the world through rose-tinted glasses and believe everyone is inherently good and shares the same basic values as them when the reality is a little more complicated. Might makes right is the only language these playground bullies understand. The PRC will only back down if confronted with a massive show of force right on their doorstep because they are cowards who routinely bully the weak.

As soon as America has cleaned up its act and dumped Trump, payback must immediately commence. Post-pandemic reparations. Crippling sanctions. Trade tariffs and embargoes. Total economic decoupling. Full, official recognition of Taiwan. The PRC must pay for what it did to Hong Kong and it must pay for the nearly 2 million people who have died of the Wuhan coronavirus. Literally, in U.S. Dollars. I want to see justice done. Red lines must be drawn and they must be consistently enforced without exception. No more appeasement and no more political correctness. Fuck the EU for caving to China with their stupid trade deal and fuck the WHO for failing to take a harder line against China and for only sending experts to Wuhan one year after the coronavirus pandemic began. Joe Biden must grow a fucking spine and be the strong, decisive leader that the whole world desperately needs right now if he wants to earn even an inkling of my support.
