I don't remember where I was on Obama's second, my guess is I was asleep because this was a time when I'd go the gym at 3AM.

Then in 2017, it was my first time back in America since moving abroad, I was with my wife and my mother-in-law came too, we went out for breakfast and then when we got to my parents' house they put on the TV. I said something to my parents along the lines of "This is fucking sickening, I can't watch this" which I think my MIL got the gist of despite not speaking English. The language barrier kept her and my parents from an awkward discussion. I left and my wife caught up with me after a few minutes of watching in horror.

i don't think i've ever actually watched one, i didn't watch trump's and before that, i was either too young or not interested in politics enough to care. wait nvm i was at lincoln's inauguration was pretty lit as the kids like to say

I think its a great idea but I don't think its constitutional. You can't use an executive order to rewrite the state constitution. if one can then Evers in Wisconsin should do this as well.

Meh, the legislature will just ignore him and go back to building districts that look like morbidly obese tapeworms as usual.

Well that's beside the point. The Governor of Maryland planning to do something by executive order doesn't mean anything for what the Governor of Wisconsin might do. At least as far as I'm aware, state governors don't all have the same powers.

No they don't but amending the constitution via executive order is something not one of them can do.

I agree. Maryland has some of the worst gerrymandering in the country. It should be done by independent commission.

There is no reason for Annapolis to be drawn into a district with Baltimore for example.

If I remember correctly 8-year-old me tried to stay up to watch the first Obama inauguration (it's midnight in Indonesia), but fell asleep and missed it lol. I didn't remember watching the second inauguration, I guess I just didn't find it that exciting. I watched Trump's inauguration (or at least parts of it, I remember the swearing-in but I'm not sure I watched the entire speech) on YouTube.

That's what I thought.

And what is actually good about her positions? Or is this just a vapid "she said foreign wars bad so can do no wrong" spiel?

Legalize marijuana, end private prisons, support some form of a Green New Deal, advocating for greater accessibility for those with disabilities, free tuition for community colleges, UBI for stay at home parents, universal healthcare, yes less foreign adventurism. I don't agree with her on certain issues (nuclear power, GMO's, and some others) but on the whole she has some pretty good ideas and at the very least is someone I could say genuinely gives a shit.

Well, good luck to her, I guess. Nothing really to look at, they're both pretty safe seats. As for the other, I think(at this moment) it'll go to Karen Peterson, though it may be a runoff.

A runoff is likely in both seats though many Republicans said they wouldnt run in LA-5 if Julia got in therefore she likely wins outright

Bernie Sanders is the opposite, Tulsi is all of Bernie’s based parts without caving in to the woke crowd

Tulsi doesn't have it either. Sanders I like personally but I do think he's a tad too idealistic when it comes to what it would take to govern a superpower/empire. He makes a great member of Congress and him pushing certain things forward should go down as an important period in American politics because it's even begun to shift the American right on economics (though not as much).

It’s hard not to shift on economics when we have bread lines in the streets

Scalise already endorsed her too, so that'll keep Harris out. Yeah, she'll win outright. LA-2's a different story. Karen Peterson and Troy Carter both have strong followings in New Orleans, that'll make it a close race.

Full support.

Thanks to Donald Trump the old GOP is finished for good. That is an historical achivement and net positive.
