CHAZ was a local political PR move by the Durkan administration and SPD to create a zone of state absence and discredit protesters they were being pressured by, and which some people then LARPed around in for a bit; the violence on Capitol Hill was an attempted coup d'etat orchestrated by our head of state with the collaboration of multiple security organs, for the purpose of consolidating his grip on power in defiance of democracy and the Constitution.

I don't know if Trumpers are just being quiet at the moment but the comments under FOX news articles are pretty overwhelmingly stating this was an awful event and Trump should be held accountable, as should his enablers.

The most hardcore of the MAGA crowd left when Fox reported the election results in the first place. There's a sizable element of his following that apparently considers the acknowledgement of any truth that doesn't serve Trump's agenda as a betrayal.

A Capitol Police Office....who may or may not have been told to go easy(I won't say definitely so without proof), and he still got bludgeoned to death by one of these traitors...

If elements of Capitol Police were in on it, I doubt they would've been so clumsy as to generally announce to all members to go easy on the rioters. I think this is someone who didn't know that they'd been betrayed (either by their own organization, or by other state organs), and was genuinely trying to do their duty.

It also makes damn clear what the mob would've done if they'd gotten their hands on any legislators.
