No but I am surprised the attempt on his life didn't make him say "that's it, I've had enough."

Nothing will make him say that. He wants to be President one day. So does Cruz, that's why they stuck to him like crap to a blanket this whole time.

It did. He just knows that invoking the 25th means more and possibly successful attempts on his life.

Then the only hope is a bunch of Republican congressmen who will now agree to impeachment. I hope NSGers with Republican reps are overloading their phones and emaIls with calls to pressure them.

I know they are vibrant individuals with their own minds, hearts, ideas, and opinions. That's why I don't underestimate the danger we're in.

So what we know so far:

- on the 4th and 5th, DoD sabotages the readiness of the DC National Guard
- on the 6th, Trump goes to the rally and basically incites them to storm the building
- Capitol Police are woefully (perhaps even suspiciously) unprepared and are then overwhelmed
- reinforcements are first nowhere to be found and then rejected or otherwise blocked
- eventually Pence and the Army Secretary are the ones who sign off on sending the Guard in (not Trump or Miller)
- today, now that Trump has realized it's definitely failed, he offers a semi-concession
agreed honey. send bees

18? You mean 16, don't you? When are Warnock and Ossoff supposed to be sworn in?

I know Perdue's seat is still (legally) empty and I'm pretty sure Loeffler is still in until the 20th.

Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

The triumph of the Democracy is essential to the struggle of popular liberty

I don't know if Trumpers are just being quiet at the moment but the comments under FOX news articles are pretty overwhelmingly stating this was an awful event and Trump should be held accountable, as should his enablers.

So definitely pre-meditated then. No way you deliberately sabotage the readiness of the DC National Guard unless you know you're going to be inciting an attack.

Hope prosecutors are collecting this stuff for evidence in court.

Just saw the video of Trump conceding.

That was too little and too late for his opponents who will hate him regardless. Not after what happened yesterday. And too much giving him for his supporters who stormed the capitol for him. He just threw them to the wolves. Only moderate MAGA supporters will keep up with him. He probably lost the most hardcore and dedicated parts of his base.

He moved himself into political no-man's land with that move.

Nobody is going to buy that.

He's finally finished.
