Apparently Parler had no automated method to wipe metadata from pictures or videos and they required pictures of your drivers license to become a "verified citizen" so this shit was always going to happen. All that info is a goldmine and those fucking morons just had it sitting there.

I mean, at this point, I'm actually not sure formal removal would really do THAT much more. Like yes, we should do it, because setting the precedent that we just handle coups by launching soft counter-coups is bad and weird, but given that pretty much the entire state apparatus seems to have basically tacitly agreed that he no longer has any authority, I doubt he can do much in the next nine days. DC is swarming with troops who won't listen to him, and if he does try some round two dealio, I'm pretty sure the soft counter-coup could easily become a very, very hard one.

I am apposed to all forms of censorships.

I joined Parler and I am not impressed by the format and the threads I saw on it.

GMS.

Ah no. Sounds more like Parler had piss poor security.

Extremely poor. Leaking peoples metadata is really bad.

This isn’t censorship, it’s doxxing. Good thing I never posted any personally identifying information during my time there

I don't think invoking the 25th Amendment would do that, would it? I thought only a conviction in an impeachment trial could secure that.

As to him running again, it's doubtful the fat fuck will even live that long. And honestly, even if he were impeached and convicted, I suspect if he's alive and still has at least roughly the support base he has now, he'd run again anyways and just dare everyone to stop him.

You don't have to feel sorry for people, but the doxxing is potentially going to threaten many innocent people, especially those who went through the whole "verification" thing

Regardless of their security being terrible, the proper thing to do in a scenario like this is to report the vulnerability to the platform, not just releasing it to the public immediately. If they don’t take action or actively go after you for discovering a vulnerability, then public disclosure is perhaps acceptable, but never before that point, and releasing all the data you could access is pretty much never okay.

There was a dissent cable a couple days ago too. Probably just a disgruntled FSO with access to the website, it's not like State is going to be the tip of the spear in a coup.

I don't support doxxing as a method. But if they were on Parler, the odds are extremely high they're no one I'd feel sorry for.

So what are potential criminal charges that doxxing could face? Incitement to violence? Harassment?

Guns won't help, claiming you are in control won't help. The change that is coming will be a shock to the system for everyone. In most places no race or ethnicity will have greater than 50% of a given population. https://www.census.gov/newsroom/blogs/r ... y-are.html This is why there was so many attempts to change the census. Only coalitions will hold power. There can be little supremacy in this kind of setting. Traditional control by one group will erode.

The only reason white people are frightened by becoming a minority is because they're racist shits. Otherwise there's no reason to care.

70TB seems sloppy, though, and will likely include people who were just there to watch the fireworks. It's kind of haphazard. Also, the information itself has that "I'm just sayin'..." quality to it. Like, fuck those guys, and they would absolutely do shitty things with that information of liberals or whatever, BUT, I don't just want to toilet bowl down a never ending circle of shittiness.

I feel as if that's a roundabout way of saying you do support doxxing, but only against the "correct" people...
