The fireball makes me think something like concentrated gasoline. If you've ever messed with HE you'll known it's a darker explosion, it's not like Hollywood. It's more force than fire.

This, however, looks to be a crude but effective device.

could be a combination of gas and something else maybe the real explosives fizzled and the gas was just an activator but exploded itself causing the damage

The other huge question is how was it triggered. I have no doubts he's on camera somewhere parking the RV but if it's remote detonation instead of just a basic timer that's a very scary premise for Nashville, especially if he isn't caught fast.

Does not appear to be a suicide attack, considering that the cops got a call about this device and responded before the detonation. I do believe this was remote-detonated to coincide with the response of the authorities.

I will say an RV parked overnight in a business district would arouse suspicion by definition, and the call could have come from a concerned citizen and not the terrorists themselves
