Yes, I'd say its good to a point from a health perspective. Abstinence from the hand works. I didn't quit my addiction soon enough, so it has caused me permanent endocrine imbalances. I have too much testosterone or DHT, or both, thus my hair is falling out more as I age, when I have no family history for such on either side. If I'm unlucky, I'll need to go bald or find a good wig or get hair follicle transplants if I'm ever rich enough.

People can disagree with the causes but I'm supposed to know my body better than anyone. The fact remains that having too much DHT is correlated with more hair loss, possibly on a permanent basis. Too much testosterone is also linked to male pattern baldness. The best way to try to save your hair is said to be taking action sooner rather than later, if you're able to. You more or less have to take DHT inhibiting shampoo over 26 weeks or more and hope for the best.

Have a high concentration of DHT or Testosterone than whats healthy, and what typically happens is the hair follicles narrow to where it can't support a strand of hair any longer. And the rate of hair loss is gradual until noticeable.

It’s up to each person. Some see celibacy as beneficial to them, and I respect their choice. Others feel that sexuality is not something that oughta be restricted for religious reasons or otherwise. I respect that as well.

Yeah, same here. It was 40 and raining yesterday morning. Then proceeded to drop 40 degrees in the span of an afternoon. Only 9" of snow though.

Roller coaster weather isn't unusual in Minnesota in winter. But we don't usually see rain in December.

I actually thing that celibacy can be a good thing. Not for the reasons that most religious people would give though.

Thing is: society is, for a large part, built around (regulating) initimate relationships, and, of course, procreation. Not everybody is cut out for that though, take asexuals, for example (or, actually, in particular, and even me as an example). Sure, they can marry and possibly somehow arrange offspring in some fashion to appease the local Vicar or whatever, if their community is particularly religious. But, had I been alive in the Middle Ages, I would, 100%, have announced to have been "called by God" to be a monk or a priest, and portray my "defect" (forasmuch as it is one) as a commendable virtue. So, yeah, I personally like that religious celibacy is portrayed as a good thing.

HOWEVER.

The main reason why celibacy is portrayed as good, seems to be that sexuality, in Abrahamic religions, is portrayed as bad. Especially when "deviant" sexualities are denounced as evil. Had I been a gay man in the Middle Ages, I would probably álso have become a monk, I imagine. So, in that sense, the whole set of classifications of sexuality and sexual behaviour (forasmuch as they are not harmful to others), is extremely destructive, regardless of wheter that portrayal is "good" or "bad".

In that sense, what I personally like is totally irrelevant, and I would have to say that objectively, regarding celebacy as Good, is in itself immoral. Does that make sense?
