Corporate porn is kind of shitty and needs more regulation to ensure it is as ethical as possible. That said, some of the sentiments expressed ITT celebrate the bill as the furthering of the end to degeneracy. The more anti-porn people want some form of prohibition.
Honestly I haven't watched Brazzers since seeing whatever the fuck Lela Star has turned into.

Bet $100 that you secretly watch porn but don't want to tell anyone. Me? I keep a fucking collection of them in my Bookmarks section, alongside some scientific articles, political news, and Reddit takedowns.

Porn is vile, and any company that harbors it well deserves whatever penalties they receive.

I would argue that porn has a worse effect on the brain than a number of lighter drugs. It has been compared to being addicted to heroin by scientists. I also do support the war on drugs, we just haven't found the most effective tactic yet, or haven't fully utilized it. Just because getting rid of it is hard doesn't mean it shouldn't be rid of. Porn is also primarily on the web atm, a place much easier to regulate than an entire country.
Prohibition is dumb, responsible drinking is safe. People need to learn how to control themselves.

How is prohibition of alcohol dumb but the war on drugs isn't? Last time I checked, alcohol is a drug that is at times detrimental to society. Why is that acceptable and not weed?

The war on drugs is a waste of money and I frankly don't see why we should be getting involved in what other people do with themselves. We haven't found the right tactic to stop drugs cause it doesn't exist.

Imagine telling people what they can and can't watch in their own private life. I bet the war on porn would be as much of a waste of time as the war on drugs.

We already tell them to not watch child porn. As popular as it is, opposing this from a "muh freedom" angle will not fly. In fact, that angle rarely flies.
I am quite on the fence on this one. While I would prefer the internet to be a free place of expression, it is also a playground for predators and abusers.
Same as with the war on drugs, it's remarkable how few people care about the people that suffer at the source of the chain.

If porn is someone's idea of "expression", they need to find a new hobby.

You're well entitled to that viewpoint, as am I to mine.
My main gripe with pornography is that there's plenty of it out there that is created or released without the consent of the people in it (e.g. revenge porn is a clear-cut example).
All the whining about it being degenerate or not is pointless, as it is unlikely going away. People should stop trying to "fascist" each other's side into following their utopia and work on some pragmatic solutions that prevent people from being abused - especially the most vulnerable.
