I believe in the truth of the the phrase “Spare the rod and spoil the child”, and I’ve seen enough of these Gen Alpha kids in public to know why corporal punishment of children is needed. I’m a minor, and I got spanked with a wooden spoon if I did something like disrespect my parents. The thing is, it worked. While I wasn’t an ass to my parents all the time, the spanking was a preemptive measure to prevent such a problem in the future. To those who say that use of a “weapon” is excessive, in the case of spanking or belt whipping, touching a kid’s ass is pretty fucking weird if you ask me. Of course, excessive corporal punishment for the sake of hitting some poor kid is just sick, but when used in moderation, it works. A lot of smaller kids who are at the age when this should be happening aren’t disciplined at all. I see them openly scream at their parents in public when they are told “no” for once in their life. The parents of these children are so concerned with not hurting their little precious that the forgo all parental authority and responsibilities just so their kid is “happy”.
Thanks for letting me know that beating kids is mostly about status.
