Ahem. Bhutan, Japan, Nepal, India, etc.
Are you trying to imply that the cultures of these nations are the same?

It is yet another Sinostatist thread so we have to call a spade spade.

In what sense? What’s really funny is that contemporary East Asia (minus China and North Korea) is both rich and boring (lacks cultural and thought diversity) while the Middle East is interesting.

I don’t see how you can actually consider MENA a boring place when lots of interesting events have happened there. Have you even tried Turkish, Iranian or Arab food?Federal Asia wrote:

Only if you find tribalism, underdevelopment, ethnic strife and religious moonbattery "interesting"

Did the OP seriously just try to claim that the world would be better if China was the top superpower? Excuse me while I laugh some more
In all seriousness, heck no it would not be. The only thing the CCP is good for is censorship and fake elections, for the love of all that is good. Just because a system sometimes allows for bad things to happen within it does NOT mean the system itself is bad. The American system can be very good, and has been. A very large percentage of our modern conveniences come from the USA in some way and has done considerable good. I'm not saying the resources of the USA haven't been used for bad things, they most certainly have times. But does that really justify considering China a better superpower? God forbid. I'll be damned the day China surpasses the USA in economic and military power, that will be one of the worst days in the history of the world, what's sure to follow will end the lives of millions.
Firstly, that was not my argument. I am putting China and the US on the same level, pointing out they are in fact both completely terrible. The American Empire and its system of world domination are objectively bad things for the majority of people around the world. It is supremely destructive and exploitative on a global scale, while at least for now China is largely confined to its borders. Would China establish a similar system if it rose to the status of global superpower? Quite probably. But as of this moment, that system serves America. It is the presently existing threat.

Well I'm of MENA descent myself

I mean, the Nazis had a lot of slavic allies despite the long term plans they had for the slavs. You would be surprised how many outsiders a genocidal ethno-state can dupe into supporting them until it's their turn to enter the gas chambers.

Are you comparing the Chinese to the Nazis?

Nekostan-e Gharbi wrote:Yes. Middle Eastern civilizations are grossly underrated. Japan is the most legitimate country in the world with the best genetic and cultural continuity (e.g. how many Y chromosome haplogroup D people exist in Japan, lots of the oldest companies in the world are in Japan, the imperial family never changed) while China is the worst.

Or how many times the US has installed and backed such governments.
