Ever feel like all the Q-Anon conspiracy theorists are a bunch of LARPers? All they care about is preserving their objectively wrong, fantastical world view that they want to inhabit in. They want to feel special, like the world is flat, that magic exists and science is deception. Any time something from the real world punctures their world view they try to add in more lore and mythical figures to console themselves like an aggressive "dark" army thats trying to break down their world or a god emperor of man who will save them. The more I think about it the more it seems like Q-Anons are a bunch of conspiracy weebs.

Also apparently the woman who died was shot after repeatedly refusing to heed police warnings.

What is it the cons always say? If you could've cooperated with police and don't then it's your own fault if you get shot?

There is an overlap between conspiracy theories and bootlicking. Usually there is an Other or grand master behind the conspiracy, who needs to be overthrown by an ENLIGHTENED SAVIOUR who will restore peace, order and stability for those who know The Truth TM.

America urgently needs Real Social Democracy. The events are very sad. The whole world is worried about American politics. I hope nobody gets hurt. I would like to believe that American Democracy cannot be corrupt enough to kill its own citizens, but I really doubt it.

Q-Anon is more insidious. It works by encouraging you to "do your own research" - or at least pretending you will be doing that.
Instead they start you on a trail of crumbs leading to the path they want you to take. And since you are convinced that*YOU* discovered everything, your belief in it is strengthened. So much easier to believe that the media is telling lies when you "discovered" those "lies" yourself.

I absolutely condemn yesterday's siege on Capitol Hill. I felt so angry and speechless inside. Trump has lost any and all legitimacy from the American public. Thank God the members of Congress prevailed by coming back into the chamber and certified the vote. Stay safe out there everyone.

How is it no more interesting than before? So many unprecedented things happened yesterday and this morning in the midst of a pandemic thats killed over 350,000 Americans, a massive global recession, massive protests and riots all year long,, and the edging of our nation to war with yet another Middle Eastern country. The 2000s had two wars and a global recession and the public didn't react like this and our politics didn't get this dirty.

Our nation is in continual crisis mode and we aren't gonna be out of this for a while yet.
