Well? Free market is to blame for the obesity. Why have sugar when you can have corn syrup in well everything.

There was a time school lunches used to be heathy and a dirty treat was a dessert of some sort.

Taxes won't fix the problem if what is in soda is ridiculously bad for you. Don't ban it, just...remove things like aspartame. Coca-Cola used to have a special substance in it, so such alteration is possible.

At the end of the day, though, let the people choose what to eat and drink! It's 'Murica.
