Have to say I'm a bit amused by all these Republicans suddenly feigning shock and outrage at the discovery that Donald Trump is...the same Donald Trump he has been for his entire life, both of his campaigns, and his entire Presidency.

Now I'll agree that it is improper for businesses to fire their employees for peacefully protesting, but saying they shouldn't fire people who break the law is taking it a bit far.

Conservatives aren’t not having an opioid epidemic simply because doctors look at them and refuse to give them painkillers because they assume they’ll just sell them.

Whataboutism is the action of levying a counteraccusation to distract from the initial argument. His claim is that the firing was an attack on free speech despite the fact it was a firing for criminal behavior incidental to a political event. I presented a scenario where the criminal behavior was incidental to the event but the criminal behavior was not of the variety that even an idealogue could give a pass. The situation is exactly the same but attempting to reach the same conclusion would make you feel foolsih, this is a tool for showing that the initial position was motivated by bias not logic.
