Seeing as Trump left office w 90% GOP support, it is safe to assume it would destroy the GOP and leave an even more radical party in its' place that'll have us libs smiling over Mitch McConnell in the same way libs now smile over Romney.

I, frankly, don't want to see it. What happens if they win the Governorship of even one state? It'll be a nightmare.

Most people appreciate Romney because he's not...you know...Treasonous? Even if you don't like his positions on things, he didn't kowtow to Trump and actually is consistent in what he believes.

As thoroughly awful as Trump is, I cannot bring myself to give any credit to the Republicans who oppose him (nor most Democrats) because while their politics are less overtly fascist, they're no less deadly. Denying health care to the people, especially during the biggest pandemic in American history, is murder. Socialism for billionaires and capitalism for everyone else is murder.

Romney is never going to inspire stochastic terrorism like Trump does, but he's still standing on a pile of corpses.

I don't think we are going to get anywhere until we realize that there is no meaningful difference between letting a sick person die of a treatable illness and shooting them in the head.

I think this is one of those rare situations where you can kinda have your cake and eat it too.
