Q-Anon is more insidious. It works by encouraging you to "do your own research" - or at least pretending you will be doing that.
Instead they start you on a trail of crumbs leading to the path they want you to take. And since you are convinced that*YOU* discovered everything, your belief in it is strengthened. So much easier to believe that the media is telling lies when you "discovered" those "lies" yourself.

So many unprecedented things happened yesterday and this morning in the midst of a pandemic thats killed over 350,000 Americans, a massive global recession, massive protests and riots all year long,, and the edging of our nation to war with yet another Middle Eastern country. The 2000s had two wars and a global recession and the public didn't react like this and our politics didn't get this dirty.

Our nation is in continual crisis mode and we aren't gonna be out of this for a while yet.
