Interesting that Trump only calls for the protesters to be peaceful rather than a complete cease & desist.

He's not going to do more than tell them to be peaceful, because a) it's him who whipped them up to this point, and b) it defeats his narrative that this election was rigged if he tells people to accept the election.

I would almost believe that the only reason he told them to be peaceful is that somebody told him if he didn't he'd be exposing himself to litigation. Trump doesn't do anything that doesn't help Trump.
