That would be my best guess. Even then, likely differing completely from microbes observed on earth due to the differing compositions and atmospheres leading to any proposed evolutionary processes taking place extraterrestrially would almost certainly render something visibly foreign.

I'm not a Muslim myself ,although there are many similarities between Christianity and Islam, and I agree with you. I heard somewhere that aliens are actually angels and demons. Maybe when we have contact with aliens, Revelation (The book, I'm not sure your familiar although Islam probably has a not too different book) will begin as different aliens (really angels and demons) will fight, and a new earth is actually one out of this solar system. It kinds of make sense now that I think about it....

Something A little worrying is that we don't know just how rare intelligent life is (this is going off of an atheist viewpoint). We've tried to contact intelligent life, but so far it hasn't worked.
