I misread that as Jimmy Carr and now I really want to see that version of Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

The worst movie costume of all time is rumored to be the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz by MGM. This was early 20th century so the movie set used asbestos and other dangerous stuff. Buddy Ebsen got breathing problems from the outfit that proved permanent, so he was replaced during hospitalization. Whilst his replacement Jack Haley got an eye infection and breathing problems from aluminum dust and more or less walked away with some permanent disabilities from the work as well. Wasn't able to sue MGM for the damages they could probably get were it to have happened today.

We gotta bring Leeroy Jenkins back.

Speaking of the Grinch, did anyone else see where they are no longer publishing six of Dr. Seuss' books?

They aren't his most well-known works. The only two I had heard of were And To Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street and If I Ran The Zoo. The others are McElligot's Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat's Quizzer.

But that's probably a topic for another thread.

I don't have a funny response to that. Just the knowledge that the internet has been used for the radicalisation of vulnerable and lonely people and has helped create an air of cynicism and hostility that at the present seems to only be getting worse.

Merry Christmas.

Pfft, pay me what he got paid, and then we can talk. His makeup was no worse than lots of others.

In retrospect, probably still better than Margaret Hamilton's, who wore toxic make-up and ended up with second degree burns on her face, third on her body, due to the use of fireworks on the set of The Wizard of Oz.

Honestly I was just being random and wanted to share a gif. (Maybe even subtly be included int the chat.) Gif sharing is contagious after all and a valid ice breaker at times, but a thousand and one pardons for my stupidity, please.

A strange "evening" (it's 3am, evening is not an appropriate word)... on a whim decide to stop by a Youtube channel I haven't watched in months, then ended up on Facebook and saw someone from primary school with a "new" surname and went "oh, that's right, she got married" but then it turned out their husband has a different surname so the surname change is clearly unrelated and then about an hour ago... an earthquake! (Miles and miles from me, never fear, but I still felt it... think "a large truck and you're lying on a mattress right next to the road as it goes by".)

This is why the Digimon anime was always much better.

Also, I recently watched Detective Pikachu recently... that villain was in the wrong franchise.
