Assuming I secretly agree with that premise is weird, I don’t agree with your statement otherwise why would I say he won it deservedly? Your complaining about something that doesn’t happens often enough for a pattern to exist.

Deservedly. He was in a freaking Batman movie. He was also the only acting nomination of the whole cast. It was clearly a pity award thrown his way because he keeled over. You show me the other Oscars people win for Batman movies.

And before you say Joker, that thing was not a Batman movie. It was just stupid.

It actually got the award for best sound editing too, ws the highest grossing superhero movie ever made until The Avengers, and got a place in The Library of Congress' Historic Film Registry.
