I'm out in a t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops in February in Germany. What glorious madness this is! I know it's an alarming sign for the planet but me being happy isn't putting more carbon in the atmosphere.

The last I heard about the weather in Germany was that it was snowing. I should pay more attention.

Luckily, there are plenty... a lot... well, definitely some with neither lawyers nor secretaries.

Anyway, even when it's one I've already read/seen and I know whodunnit, I can still enjoy the story again. I still remember the identity of the killer in Death on the Nile, Evil Under the Sun, And Then There Were None, The Mirror Crack'd From Side to Side and Murder on the Orient Express -- I can still watch all the adaptations again.

It doesn't hurt that, in the original Poirot adaptations, Poirot was played by Albert Finney (Murder on the Orient Express) and Peter Ustinov (Death on the Nile, Evil Under the Sun).

oh I definitely get what you mean. I've never seen any of the film adaptations of her books, and I've only read a few (Murder on the Orient Express, Then There Were None, ABC Murders, and one other the title of which eludes me) and I'd happily reread And Then There Were None even with remembering what happened.

Bought the Mystery of the Blue Train and Hallowe'en Party the other day

Thirty degrees in the space of two weeks. Clearly we need to deny climate change even harder, because the current levels of denialism are simply not high enough.

Hoping to start volunteering at the local library once a week and learn some things from experience once this pandemic is over.

After many years of Southwest living, I've learned to fear the warmth and heat more than anything.

I'm already beginning to plan day trips to the mountains. Reckon I can take my first one in two or three weeks.
