An esoteric fascist, totalitarian dictatorship centered around the worship of the Founding Fathers and the return of a mythical homeland that never existed.
The current year is 2198 AD and Florida is also underwater.

In school my least favorite class was home economics.
My sophomore year they changed the curriculum from encouraging productivity and savings to emphasizing consumption and credit. Their budgeting model for income was totally wacked. They geared it into making people dependent upon banks and creditors, strapping people with decades of debt as a viable first option.
Before that, the curriculum focused on teaching people how the free markets work, and which business model works best for what you want to do in life. It taught how to go out and make our own jobs (go into business for oneself/be an independent contractor) by leveraging one's own talents and skills into productivity and creativity to realize your vision for your life. Also, it taught how to work with others who have similar goals. It taught how to adequately assess a viable route to engage in one's right to the pursuit of happiness.
But that year, they started teaching us not to do that. They stopped teaching how the markets work. They just told us to go out and get jobs (to realize some corporation and their politician cronies dreams), or how to join a union (to live out the corrupt union bosses and their bought out politician cronies dreams) or go into debt to go to college/university.
and the home economics cooking lab in 7th grade-- I hate baking cookies.

I called it magic math as a joke, but it is grounded in the laws of physics. Lenz's Law, Maxwells Equations, Optics, Circuits. Needless to say my right hand was a bit overworked. Standard intro E&M course, but I wasn't cut out for it.

After I finished learning Maxwell's equation, I turned to the next chapter: introduction to quantum mechanics(It focuses on the Schrödinger equation). And then the next chapter: why should I give up learning physics.
