I generally like all fields, but I cannot express how much I absolutely loathe writing for any of them in any capacity. Writing papers typically indicate: A) I have no idea what I’m talking about, or more often B) the concept is so intuitive to me that I have no idea what I’m supposed to write about it that could possibly be so elaborate. Basic creative writing and calligraphy are about all I’ve got in writing. My hatred for presenting is tenfold.

I mean, it kinda depend on the teacher. When I was in highschool, there were two kinds of teachers: one are rigorous concept-driven teachers that teaches you actual knowledge, but you have to prepare before class and then actively pay attention. Others employs rote learning of meaningless lines of formulas, complete with a "study, solve, forget" principle. I think the problem is that not everyone can follow the first method, and usually the more interested kids flock to the front seats while the rest blank out on the back. It also doesn't really help you too much in, say, succeeding in the college examination exams.

Ooh, especially for math and physics (not even the papers). I was surprised that in college, you actually have to explain and justify your essays with sentences. It became twice harder and four times longer to work on :D

I guess it depends on your teacher. My middle school science teachers renewed my interest in science which was amplified in high school with even better teachers. Sounds to me like your particular classroom is more of a rote memorization environment which always kills a student's interest compared to engaged teachers who really wants you to have fun and learn

One type of text I thought stood up to analysis: the dystopias.

For A-Levels, we had a Dystopian Fiction module: The Handmaid's Tale and Nineteen-Eighty-Four, with an optional Brave New World extension. Those I could have analysed and compared/contrasted 'til the cows came home.

But we don't know why
Ooh, now where do we go

Erm, there are 3 possible answers to that, tho?

I had a maths teacher who told us this story about "squaws" having babies while lying on hides. Yes, he did warn us that it was "a bit racist". The punchline was "The son of the squaw on the hippopotamus hide, is equal to the sons of the squaws on the other two hides". I didn't need the mnemonic ...

They're for the people who are going to click something, but don't have an opinion.

Putting it first is a worthy innovation! Because sometimes people don't read the whole list and just click the first thing they don't care about. Ie the first option.

I'm surprised math is more hated than PE.

I don't know, I found moving X, Y, Zs around equations highly satisfying. It's like a puzzle game. There's something satisfying about the balancing of it all and it looks good on the paper.

The units had all these mini-games too (other than algebra) like the logarithms, radian to degrees/trigonometry puzzles, and the calc derivative stuff.

Am the only one?
