Of course they do. This is just going to destabilise the region and whoever did this wants to destabilise the region.

Iran places their suspicion on Israel which I’m not surprised by. If Islamic terrorism is a so called problem so is any religious terorism. It’s not the religion’s fault it’s a bad apple that ruins it for the bunch. If Israel really did kill that guy, then they have to own up to it...

I wonder if this was agreed on during the Pompeo-Bibi-MBS meeting.

No. This has been planned for months. The hit was likely executed by People's Mujahedin (Mujahedin-e-Khalq, MEK) operatives who still operate underground, with israeli training, funding, expertise and possibly weaponry.

Mujahedin-e-Khalq have a history working as proxy in the Islamic Republic and they have the local cladestine structures and manpower.

If this was Mossad, I expect it to be in cooperation with the US. And I wouldn't be surprised if Saudi Arabia supported it as well.

Maybe, but that didn't stop this latest assassination from occurring.

I'd be looking for something more of a personal nature this time around, especially with a new US President coming in. Why fuck that relationship up before it gets off the ground.

Unfortunately there are lots of people who are happy hearing upon these news (or at least relived). However how the tables were to change if the same thing was to happen to a high ranking official in the USA. There are always gonna be people who are happy about this or sad. I don't care how ruthless this guy was, he's human and if he was killed by religious intolerance then that's even worse. Many people I know paint Israel as innocent and all goody two shoes, but once you dig deeper, Israel did a lot of shady things in the past.

This wasn't because of religious intolerance... Assuming Israel (and likely/possibly the US and Saudi Arabia are involved) did this, the attack was geopolitical, not religious, in nature.

As an Iranian i will rest assure you he was not civilian. This would be more on par with someone taking out a senior scientist from the Manhattan Project.

Or since it's against international agreements, it would be like a designer of Germany's 1930s defence industry being assassinated.

I'd guess it's 'nuclear weapons owned by a rogue state' intolerance rather than religious intolerance. He was a weapons scientist not an imam.

Agreements the US has violated and shown have no meaning.
“It is difficult for me to imagine what “personal liberty” is enjoyed by an unemployed hungry person. True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation and oppression of one person by another; where there is not unemployment, and where a person is not living in fear of losing his job, his home and his bread. Only in such a society personal and any other freedom can exist for real and not on paper.” -J. V. STALIN

I won't celebrate his death but I won't have one bit of sympathy for a man that most probably stands by and supports the country that i live in. These people have hands drenched with the blood of the innocence. They do not deserve anything but a slight shrug upon the news of their death. Bad parallel. Today's the 4th Friday of November. Important gov't official with his bodyguards is ambushed, shot to pieces while traveling in his car. He dies on the way or on arrival at the hospital.
