It's unsurprising that the Republican Party Leadership is weak and spineless: they know it's over but because Trump holds significant power over the party and its voters (they allowed it to happen), they can't even speak up; if they do, then retribution is their punishment.

Whilst it's good that there's actually Republicans that respect that Biden won, the fact that they're completely silent on this issue makes them functionally identical to the Republicans that are okay with this going on and have said nothing on it.

Acoording to Sen. Coons, there is a secret group of Republicans who acknowledge Biden's victory but won't say it publicly.

Whilst it's good that there's actually Republicans that respect that Biden won, the fact that they're completely silent on this issue makes them functionally identical to the Republicans that are okay with this going on and have said nothing on it.

If I had to guess, I’d say the majority of Republicans accept the fact that we lost. I don’t know that, since I’m not representative of all republicans, but I can’t imagine it’s any more than a loud minority that are actually willing to subvert the republic just so Trump can stay in office.

There’s nothing that makes democracy inherently better when a large part of the entire populace is politically apathetic, as is the case in the US. Military rule would ensure meritocracy in the government

This is the case that a lot of African militaries made in the 1960s and 1970s as they overturned dysfunctional post-independence civilian regimes. All military rule actually leads to is the military becoming a bloated, politicized organization no longer primarily dedicated simply to territorial defense of the nation and losing all institutional credibility.
