I think that's a sentiment shared by alot of people.

I have found it ironic that the Left hated Hillary so much, when she was probably more progressive than Biden, and has a much more clear eyed view about what the GOP has become.

This is the case that a lot of African militaries made in the 1960s and 1970s as they overturned dysfunctional post-independence civilian regimes. All military rule actually leads to is the military becoming a bloated, politicized organization no longer primarily dedicated simply to territorial defense of the nation and losing all institutional credibility.

Depends on your definition of coup. Trump absolutely tried to rig the election in his favor and is now attempting to hold on to power despite losing. Call it what you want but Trump is an enemy of the people.
