I have found it ironic that the Left hated Hillary so much, when she was probably more progressive than Biden, and has a much more clear eyed view about what the GOP has become.

No I’m saying it’s going to happen before then. There was talk back in July and August about using a military coup to oust Trump if he doesn’t accept the results. He clearly hasn’t.

I’d bet they are waiting until December 14th, when the EC votes. If Trump doesn’t accept the results by then it’s over for him and his government

No. If the US went into a civil war Canada would collapse due to the massive wave of refugees and the economic effects of a US civil war.

Given that it would also trigger a total meltdown of the dollar and the world economy, it probably wouldn't just be them either. But I think the Canadians would be able to hang on for longer than you or others here are giving them credit for.

If we use the same amount of refugees that came from Syria fleeing the USA in such an event we are looking at some 50 million refugees flooding into Canada. Canada only has a population of 33 million.

They will be overwhelmed by the mass of refugees alone

The coup will prove we have instability, and that a monarchy is necessary. Of course, I don't think we would need semi-constitutional monarchy, just a constitutional one. The presidency would be replaced by a Prime Minister and the role of VP would be abolished. The constitution would give the queen the power to put forward laws, but they have to be signed by the PM to be valid, and command armies, but any action has to be signed by the minister of war.
