TL;DR of why I voted "Bad" on the poll in the last thread ("What's Your Opinion on The Election's Outcome"), now that almost all of the votes outside of NYC have been counted. I figured there was some "shy Trump"/pro-incumbent vote that the polls weren't capturing too.

On the bright side, Biden ended up winning Nevada by a little over 2%, which was more than it initially looked like! Still surprised 45 did well in Las Vegas, although I guess it makes sense when you look at other tourism/resort-oriented places that were really badly affected by COVID lockdowns.

According to the NY Times, New York is the only state that has less than 90% of its votes (still 84% as of today) counted. Iowa is at 98%, Ohio is at 97%, Maryland 96%, Massachusetts 95%, and Maine 92%. The mail-in vote counting delay doesn't seem limited to NYC (or immediately adjacent counties), but that's where the count is lowest. Still, the fact that Trump already has 30k more votes in Queens than in 2016- with only 63% of the vote in- suggests that Trump's GOP has made significant gains among nonwhite voters in big cities like NYC.

I don't. It's a learned pattern of behavior. In order to stay in power, dictators tend to go to great lengths to encourage patterns of thought and behavior in the populace that result in said dictators (and their dynasties) remaining in power and, often far more importantly, control. The more you can mold the people to naturally and intuitively reject anything but that which suits you, the more of both you will have.

We're in a post-truth era unfortunately, so I don't think he needs to prove anything. People will believe what they want to believe, and if they want Trump, they will believe any Alex Jones conspiracy theory when it supports their worldview against reality.

In raw numbers Trump did better practically everywhere.
But no raw numbers have such significance as "More voters for Biden than any President in history"

In percentage of the vote, Trump went backwards from 2016 in every state but Arkansas and Utah!

As with the states Biden flipped where Biden won the presidential ticket but made very little impact in House or Senate races, it's useful to look at the downballot races before making a claim about whether or not a party has made inroads. Considering that GOP house candidates seem not to have enjoyed any swing at all in Queens, as an example, the better interpretation is that this election was a referendum on Trump the president, not the GOP.

To all of you it might apply: Republican President Trump is no dictator of any kind. If he were a real dictator like Fidel, Raúl Castro, Miguel Díaz-Canel, Manuel Marrero Cruz and the Cuban regime, that calls itself the continuity of the eternal revolution, his reelection would be 100 % assured.
