For Dems, the only solution to avoid unifying the left is to try and unify with the right. I think it's an incredibly stupid decision.

Why should we "unify" with the people who called us racists and censored us, and on three occasions killed one of us?
We need to unify as a nation, no if’s, and’s, or but’s. Creating more division will not heal us as a country. Even the president-elect called for people to stop looking at each other as enemies. I don’t even necessarily like Biden, but in this instance he’s right-let’s put down our arms and try to reach out to each other.
Now if he’ll double-down on that himself and try to encourage bipartisanship for real, and not just with nice words, then we might have something going. Our country is ill, and we need to work together to make it better.

Can't wait for the Unite The Left rally where people just smoke weed and chill but a riot still breaks out over obscure differences in tendency.

How awesome would it be if it flipped but I won’t hold my breath for it. If it wasn’t for the stupid nonsense republicans brought up late in the game Cunningham would have won

Abrams has already said she’s going all out to win both

Face it, no matter how much Biden drums it up, there is no "healing the divide," so the best thing to do is delegate more power to the states so that more conservative states can govern themselves by their values, and liberal states govern themselves by their values. The Federal government should only step in when civil rights and basic freedoms are being violated, but not other than that

The thing is that a lot of policies only make sense at the national or even international level.
I'd like to not choke to death, so I support air pollution regulation, but this is only effective if all of my neighbours play ball. I live about a thousand kilometres away from a major manufacturing basin, but there is an international border between here and there so there's absolutely nothing I can do about pollution from that basin turning the skies here gray (said neighbour is also really adamant about their coal heritage). If you take regulatory powers away from the federal government and give it to the states, this is exactly the situation you will be recreating right there in North America.
Chopping government into many smaller bits don't make for more manageable government; it makes for an utterly ineffective one.
