To the question, they have a lot of information going in and the uneven way that precincts report can give false leads. Most of the time they're making those calls based on a preponderance of evidence towards where the state will go and sure, they can wait until it's mathematically impossible for one candidate to lose, but every other news outlet would have scooped you five hours ago and taken all your viewers.
I don't get to pick the wine either.
I understand why they may have called it already. But from an 'optics, we want people to have faith in the results' sort of view, I think it's pretty dumb to call it right now. I expect VA to go blue, but it looks odd to call it when Biden is so far behind at the moment.

When you say "good" where are you looking?
I repeat from earlier: all of the cities with exception of Cincinnati are over-half counted.
Rural areas either havent started or under 25% reported.
