To be fair, the Dems also gained something like 2-3 million new voters from 2016 and millions of votes are still out to be counted.

Fun isn't it? PR votes for statehood, and the Republicans actually don't lose much in Congress and Trump's looking increasingly likely to stay...so those poor people will be ignored.

PR cannot afford to pay federal income tax, its economy would be crushed overnight unless the US wrote them a check for dozens of billions of dollars to pay down their debt.

PR is not going to become a state regardless of which party has the whitehouse or senate. It is just fun to talk about. DC has a far greater chance.

Ideally we could trust them to uphold the law and not the whims of someone who clearly doesn't understand how this works, but yet here we are, not sure that would happen.

Well, Milwaukee County, WI, is going to give us an early vote dump at about 5 ET. That will likely determine the winner there. If Trump still leads, it's more or less over.

Dems currently only have 1 million new votes, probably closer to 1.5-1.7 when all is said and done imo.

This is a very poor showing.

Your calculus thus far appears to have been that a "substitute for a positive vision," even if it's actually worse for the country and the world in both the long and short run than the admittedly bankrupt moral-political vacuum of Dem-aligned capital, is desirable simply because it's more interesting to shitpost about, and fuck whoever may get smashed in the process

He ran a shitty campaign but he did the basics. Trump people were door knocking all the time in my area. The Democrat ground game wasn’t there. Trumps people were registering new voters like mad in WI. The Democrats were sending me texts for a state I didn’t live in for 7 years, bad data tbh combined zero traditional campaign things. Very mediocre if Trumps trash campaign wins.
