Really, I had least faith in Wisconsin given their polls have been historically poor. It's all about Penn and Michigan for me.. it's going to be tight regardless but I expect Biden to pull at least one out of the bag - I oddly have some hope for Georgia as well.

I mean, when all the votes are counted Biden could take all 3 rust belts and Georgia and all the doom and gloom here will seem silly. However it really only takes one of the rust belts.

All I noted is that it's likely a shrinking demographic and the Democrats can choose to fight an uphill battle to win them back or focus attention elsewhere.. I mean Georgia is a swing state for Christ's sake.

I'm not talking about repression, forced assimilation and removing the right to free speech.

There's a difference.

Hasn't this been your strategy for almost 30 years now? "Attention elsewhere", like where? Which demographic do you plan on flipping?

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

No, you made very clear your point. Don’t lecture us on human rights or any empathetic nonsense again. You didn’t expect to get called on it. You’re perfect content to keep the drugs, decay and failure flowing if a group you don’t agree with won’t do your way. Very typical journalist response to dissent in the West really.

You live in your little world, I'm not saying stop policies they think will help but, as I note, I don't think policies change anything here - there's places they will, where messaging will gain better cut through.

Ah yes, the man who lectured us on America bullying China then had to live through the Chinese terror has any right to complain about living in a little world. The callousness and causalness with which you dismiss populations because they won’t go along with really stunning. He can't stop it alone, these outstanding votes are in and according to state law need to be counted.
