Reality shifting: The conversation.
I don't really know where to start, so here we go:
It's such an interesting topic, reality shifting. I've never actually done it before, so those who have, what did you shift to?

Reality shifting is the act of shifting yourself to one of the infinite alternate realities, which is limited by basically nothing.

Some people claim that the realities are only the different decisions you could've made. For instance, think of any time you had to make a decision or do something where you could've done something else. There are infinite possibilities of what you could've done, and each reality is what would've happened if you chose to do that instead. Some people believe that the realities are whatever you could imagine, such as being able to fly.

I prefer to think of sentient beings as powerful spirits limited by physical flesh prisons. Everything else we have complete control over.

You start by scripting the reality you want to visit, which I
believe means you describe the reality. You then listen to a subliminal (any music with the script over it), and you usually shift during the change into sleep while your subconscious is most active.

I imagine this is possible with extreme control over one's mental faculties and if one could dull their physical senses enough to prevent interference of one's attempts to "alter your reality."
I must find a master to help me advance these abilities.

"Controlled/lucid dreaming thread" might be a better name for this thread, since people are more familiar with the term "lucid dreaming" than "reality shifting".

I've looked up lucid dreaming, but honestly, it seems like a whole lot of effort.
I just day dream and regular dream instead.

I guess, but they're two different things.
Your explanation wasn't a very convincing argument for that. If you could fill your OP with more detail and resources on it, then people won't wander into the thread and make the very reasonable assumption that it's just something ridiculous and made up.

It might. I'm not very familiar with that concept, but after some quick googling, they seem kinda similar.
