Certainly my favorite Bond. As a kid, my parents had the Bond box set in the basement. They'd never have let me watch it at such a young age, but at night, I'd sneak down and put them in the VHS player and stay up watching them. I was enchanted by the intrigue, espionage, and of course, the women.

A formative part of my early childhood and now some of my favorite movies as an adult. RIP to a legend.

I don't admire actors, but I respected him for his unashamed beliefs, particularly his controversial traditionalist view of the relationship between man and woman, and the bold disregard for political correctness with which he advanced them.

It sucked, Thunderball was never even that great a film anyway and is overrated, but the knock off Kevin McClory made with a much older Sean Connery comes off like a big and unnecessary fuck you to Ian Fleming, EON Productions, Albert Broccoli, and so on. It takes Thunderball and made it like 10 times worse, and I refuse to acknowledge it and the 60s Casino Royale as "Bond" films. And BTW the fact the 60s Casino Royale, which is a clusterfuck of itself is only slightly better than Thunderball 2 says a lot. Fucking Hell even the snoozefest Spectre and the godawful Quantum of Solace is better.
