And adults acting like children? I'm pretty sure the holiday is about taking kids to go trick or treating. I don't think I ever seen an adult act like a child around this year. Well at least in my community anyway.

I'll be standing vigil until midnight, trying to prevent the forces of darkness from swarming out of the otherworld to destroy us all.

Also watching movies and testing the flammability of various candies. Intriguingly, someone told me that York peppermint patties neither burn nor melt when thrown into fire, and so I must test that.

My brother talked about the concept hell-oween when drunk a couple weeks ago, saying "imagine you're at Kroger and some old dude in a dress high on bath salts walks in and says 'I'm the scary fairy princess,' and begins shooting the place up." I think I got the video lemme see.

Coronaween. I laughed. :lol2:

I’m going to dress up as Schrödinger’s cat and prance around the house all day. Other than that, I have nothing planned. I may go out with my husband and drive around to check some of the Halloween graveyards some of the neighbors set on their front lawns and take photos.

Kids celebrate Halloween.

Teens celebrate devil's night.

Halloween isn't really a big deal usually where I live. Sometimes we'll get some kids showing up for candy. If they have costumes on we'll give them the good stuff.

Dunno about my favourite horror movie. I'm a bit of a sucker for shitty found footage movies though.

Normally we got a lot of kids coming through, so I think I will buy some candy and then just hide and throw it at them from behind a bush in our yard if they show up. Both scary and pandemic appropriate, I think it’s a great solution

I bought a cosplay uniform for myself, and I'll be wearing it to a (socially distanced) party.

Borderlands of Rojava wrote:It's the spookiest time of the year again everyone, and this year everyday is Halloween and we got our masks out. I gotta say that Halloween is hands down my favorite holiday of the year, and it really brightens up the month of October for me. For years I have gone out on October 31st, trick or treating as a child and going to parties as an adult. This year I expect Halloween to be rather different however. For starters, covid-19 will likely lead to a decrease in trick or treating and parties, and the anxiety of the economic downturn and the coming election may also dampen the mood nationwide. To get this party started, I wanna ask you three things NSers.

•Is trick or treating safe in your opinion in 2020?
•Will you attend a Halloween party?
•What is your favorite scary movie?
•Do you have a particular Halloween memory you would like to share?
•Will the skeleton wars be postponed?

For some reason Halloween always makes me think of that one Chick Tract which says that it's Satan's birthday and atheists go out and sacrifice black cats and play Dungeons and Dragons on it to celebrate.
