Depends on the time, really.
If it became a country right now, it wouldn't last long. Racial tensions across the globe are at an all-time high. It would collapse very quickly.

To answer the question: one country would be too complicated to manage, albeit a nice idea.

People in the world are so different, so I agree it would be a mess
And then there is the problem of who would even lead the country...

Right now I would say that it wouldn't be possible to reach a stable one-world country with current geopolitical situation or technology, but if it was united out of blue in a single day, I would give it about a few days or weeks before it erupts in a helluva spicy civil war. In other words, no modern day government, no matter how iron-fisted it would try to rule over the globe, would succeed in holding those lands together in the long term.

Also, I think that you need to expand your OP if you don't want this thread to get locked.

Oops, kinda new to the forum thing. I’ll work on it

There are too many religious, ethnic and cultural differences for that to ever happen. This was the dream of the Soviet Union. All religion will have to be abolished. Ethnic and cultural differences will be pushed aside for Socialist conformity.

It would likely go horribly, violently wrong.

Humans will need to be eased very slowly into unification, having it slap them in the face would not go well.
