Market socialism if I remember correctly is a very moderated form of socialism in which the economic system is public property, and is directed through a semi-capitalistic market,

So basically the property is still technically of the state but the government allows for a lot of autonomy to its owners

I am not an expert on this specific ideology though so I might be wrong

So like you can vote your CEO and there is a free market but it’s all workers?

“Free will is a myth, religion is a joke. We are all pawns controlled by something greater: Memes, the DNA of the soul. They shape our will. They are the culture. They are everything we pass on. Expose someone to anger long enough, they will learn to hate. They become a carrier. Envy, greed, despair; all memes, all passed along.” -Monsoon

“In wilds beyond they speak your name with reverence and regret,
For none could tame our savage souls yet you the challenge met,
Under palest watch, you taught, we changed, base instincts were redeemed,
A world you gave to bug and beast as they had never dreamed.“ -Monomon the Teacher

I think so, I believe the markets are free, same for the CEO stuff, just with some more additional boundaries if compared to a capitalistic nation

I don’t quite understand market socialism. Can somebody explain it to me? I know socialism is the govt owns the means of production and businesses, but private/personal property still exists, what is market socialism?

Also, that’s not socialism. Private property doesn’t exist under socialism. You can’t say private/personal property as if private and personal are synonyms when it comes to property. They are completely different things. Personal property is like your toothbrush, your bed, your device, etc,.
Private property is like a company, a farm, a factory, etc,.

And your definition of socialism is also wrong. Socialism is that private property doesn’t exist but personal property does. There are different forms of socialism where it isn’t the government.

Wasn’t market socialism = government owned property + semi free markets?

I like the argument that there’s no competition in a socialistic economy and I agree on the negative notions in its realistic value. That said it is a fully functional plan if the economy is already grown to global scale ready to accommodate the demand of benefits needed to support an equally productive workforce as a competitive market.

Yes this assumes people still want to work but it also opens the floor to 2-3 day work weeks and expands on the concept of working towards a less stressful environment, not a utopia but less a dystopia of todays world.

That would have to bring us to the idea that every country would also have to adopt levels of economic socialism that is supported by the largest economies till the economic community is by a degree of margins, a single nation or board.

Don’t @ me! I know socialism has its flaws just like capitalism!
Lurking could be a sport…

I also will never finish my fact book.
