Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. The unjust banning of Nouveau Quebecois, AKA Lakeland, for something he had in his motto. His entire nation was DEAT'ed and he quit NS, and I'm still really salty about that.

Oh, he officially quit the game? I did not know that. And I am aware of this.

This isn't a forum-specific event, per se, but the so-called Drewpocalypse was initiated the day before I joined NS. So the number of nations was high for a little while before all of the nations CTE'd. Something I did not like about that was what seemed to me to be an attack on Drew's nation for causing such a massive influx.

I used to watch Drew a lot when he made his HOI4 videos. I expected him to cover the site at one point, honestly.

And yeah, Lakeland was pissed.

I'd have to say one of them was when the number of nested quotes was limited to 1. I still have flashbacks to the gargantuan quote pyramids that used to form before that was implemented... :(

considering it caused such a massive flood causing the entire server to crash, I think that's more of something that is the stuff of legend.

Funny thing is that with the Drewpocalypse, we didn't experience the typical die-off that usually happens. I think it's because he did that second follow-up video, so a bunch of players from the first wave got a reminder to check back in on their nations. I think it led to a higher-than-normal retention rate than is typical for a "NS got mentioned on X site-" flood. There was definitely a die-off, but we had a lot of folks stick around too.

I know more about pyramids than most people posting in these forums, and I can state with some degree of confidence that NS quote pyramids were but transient passing moments in the greater glory of humanity's ability to build a lasting true pyramid.

Reploid Productions so I should probably come clean about the purpose of this thread...

So I'm a fairly experienced editor on the English Wikipedia and I've been updating and maintaining the NSG wiki page for a bit. I already checked in with the staff there and they said it's fine to use direct sources like a forum thread as a source. I'm essentially looking for information like the date the forum was created, and other milestones like that, some of which have already been posted :)
