As someone who grew up a bit around Catholicism (although I myself am not), I wouldn't say it quite to that extent (e.g. CCC still calls for gays to be loved as any other. Then again it makes you wonder why they felt the need to single it out if that were the case). But there's definitely some areas in Christianity, and pretty much most religions, who do have that problem.

I grew up catholic and left the church after reading about the child sex abuse. What kind of hypocrites condemn two men getting married while helping grown men rape little boys and get away with it?

Nope. I don't go to church, and there's not a centralized Protestant one for me to answer to.

That being said, if any church I go treats me differently because I'm asexual or treats other LGBT+ people differently because of their orientation, they can take the fucks I had left for their institution and shove them.
