Azur, screw childhood, all it has ever done is given me depression and cringe memories. Life as an adult, even though it's 10 billion percent more exhausting, and gruesome, means I'm able to pursue my career.

Wow, a lot of people here have had bad childhoods. Honestly might go azure actually, just to be able to experience life in its actuality.

My childhood was mediocre, but I have nostalgia. It's a time of innocence I wish I never lost.

While in retrospect, all the nostalgia and childhood memories seem great, I’d rather live out my actual life than repeat the "free trial"

Life is like an EA game. At first you don't pay, then a few years later you go bankrupt.

I think it was Sato who asked the question "happiness or being correct" a few weeks ago.

I think ignorance is fine if it doesn't hurt anyone.

What's the point of immortality if you only get to remember 18 years of it?

The question isn't immortality, but being a child.

Azur. An endless cycle of childhood with your memory wiped out every time you reach 18 is like an eternal bubble trapping your conscience forever. Eventually you'll be bored of the endless repetition.

You'd never get bored of it since you'd only remember living 18 years then dying basically. Sure it'd loop endlessly but what has happened in your perspective will only every be those 18 years.

To be fair the scenario as given is incredibly bleak at best and severely depressing at worst. Live 18 years then die in an endless loop without knowing it or live a whole life is the options being given.
