When one of her people did the same, they were told they could not access the area. She complained as high up as possible, and the problem was solved. Strange case. I don't understand people feeling that military might contributes to their safety at all. The threat of foreign invasion is essentially non-existent, no matter who's in charge and how much our allies dislike them.

This as well, our military escapades elsewhere only act as a detriment to our own safety, be it in the present or in our long and checkered past of trying to influence other countries with force.

Military involvement in foreign affairs unnecessarily risks the lives of American soldiers and civilians. Unless such involvement serves a purpose to prevent a clear and articulated threat to national security, we really ought not get involved.

Don't forget the two years where the GOP also controlled the House.

The GOP had full control over government and failed to enact very much of their public agenda, and instead only succeeded in making them and their friends very wealthy. If that doesn't reveal their real intentions in politics then I don't know what will.
