Then what works for you? Cause this is a thing. Wealthy people supporting secondary issues like "women's empowerment" to deflect from real problems, like Kamala Harris being a crooked fed or Hillary Clinton being a war mongerer. It's why the mainstream media won't talk about these issues while focusing on everything evil Trump has ever done.
The dichotomy between "identity" politics and materialistic politics is false, stop participating in it. That people focus more on one or the other is not to the exclusion of the opposite.
Those woke Twitter users who care about women empowerment? Aren't typically friends of the bourgeois either.

Alot of people who focus on one don't focus on the other. Ever wonder why Kamala Harris is being celebrated for her race while her record as a prosecutor is conveniently forgotten?

I've never seen it forgotten, I've not seen people on Twitter or any social media forget it either. Once again you fall for talking points and anecdote.

Not talking about Twitter friendo. I'm talking about the mainstream media. Never once did I mention Twitter. Did I?

I'm not sure why you were expecting the mainstream media to be materialist-minded and openly talk about the failures of capitalism. Buckaroo.

And what do you mean "we aren't exceptional" when it comes to Libya.

Why would expect a media owned by capitalists to be opposing someone for their holding up of the status quo? That's a pointless waste of energy.

I'm not. I dont understand why you're getting so confrontational and making assumptions where there are none to be had. I said "some people favor identity politics to distract from real world issues" and I explained what I meant by identity politics. I'm not saying that everyone who ever talks about racism is trying to distract. I'm talking about a specific group of people. So ima ask again. Do you or do you not agree that some individuals deploy rhetoric about race or gender to distract from class issues and foreign affairs?

If he says they are the same, he is a simpleton.
Trump could have created a new fireside chat with twitter. He would have been a genius. The problem? FDR spoke well. FDR projected leadership. FDR projected empathy. My grandmother said you listened to him and you felt things would get better.
Trump can’t do that......well only his followers would believe it as they will believe anything he says......
I love your Trump Idea, too bad I did not think of it before, I would have suggested it to Republican President Trump a long time ago.
Like Republican President Ronald Reagan, The Great Communicator.
GMS.

No, I don't think that's their intent. Because as I've made clear it's not very effective since there's no contradiction in supporting Marxist theory and feminist and racial analyses of the current world order. Many laymen are smart enough to realize that the underlying issues of much discord is in capitalism
What conglomerates do is promote things that don't really solve the issue. Harris' appointment? Does nothing as a solution. #GirlBoss CEOs? Do nothing. But that's not a flaw of pushing identity-centric narratives as you've defined, that's just the powerful not actually wanting to change anything. In essence, they're pushing non-solutions to make it appear as though the problem is solved, and this is ditto to economic and social issues.

Then we're in agreement.

No, really. Have you seen the “socially-minded” people of Twitter, or other sites for that matter? They’ll eat you up, chew you apart, and spit you right back out.
