For me at least, don't care isn't exactly true. I appreciate less radical members speaking out against these terrible crimes, but a textbook no true Scotsman argument isn't going to cut it after this amount of violence from Islamists. Similar to how not every QAnnon follower is going to be a part of a violent militia group, it doesn't mean that QAnnon shouldn't be treated as dangerous.

Unfortunately they would. I don’t agree with it, and neither do most of the Muslims I know and even a decent amount of their parents.

I don’t know. But if you were, say with a bunch of young people in Tehran or Marrakesh or Cairo, they would say “Oh, that’s different,” and leave it at that. But frankly, I don’t know: I only have one friend I know who is gay, and she’s Latina.

Most countries that still have criminal liability for homosexuality are Muslim countries. All countries that execute LGBT people are Muslim countries.

Agreed on all points, I also admire the respect pagans have for nature and the environment, the Abrahamic types and even agnostic/ atheist types such as myself could learn from that.

Unfortunately they would. I don’t agree with it, and neither do most of the Muslims I know and even a decent amount of their parents.

Your own personal circle of friends and family isn’t representative of the entire Islamic faith so I don’t know how your point is relevant.

These anti gay policies exist because people, large numbers of people support them.

Our religion does not permit terrorism or extremism under any circumstances and anyone who claims otherwise acts against the teachings of the Holy Quran and contrary to the noble character of the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

As the worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, I extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of the victims and to the French nation. Let it be clear that our condemnation and hatred of such attacks is not something new but has always been our position and stance. The Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (peace be upon him) and his Successors have always categorically rejected all forms of violence or bloodshed in the name of religion.

The fallout from this heinous act has further exacerbated the tensions between the Islamic world and the West and between Muslims living in France and the rest of society. We consider this to be a source of deep regret and a means of further undermining the peace and stability of the world. We must all join together to root out all forms of extremism and to encourage mutual understanding and tolerance. It's all over the Quran. Sura 4 says that a woman's testimony is only worth half of a man's, that men can beat their wives into submission, and that women can't say no when men want sex.

Tbf there have been periods in Islamic history where homosexuality was more tolerated. There is a lot of homoerotic poetry from Islam's Golden Age and from the Safavid Empire. There have even been some caliphs who were gay or at least bisexual.

Before the attacks? By all means bring it up. After the attacks? Uncalled for, since bringing it up has been nothing but trying to victim blame and scapegoat the atrocities committed. The cartoons pale in comparison to the violence inflicted.

France is one of the few European nations that is already against multiculturalism. The French have been obsessed with a monoculture for centuries.

Lets see:
The reasoning for the first is that between the incident and the testimony, the woman might got through something like pregnancy that would meddle with her memory, so the second would be there to help her remember. The verse doesn’t say “woman’s testimony is worth less than a dude’s” and many scholars hold that just one woman is acceptable if there is no evidence of anything ruining her memory.

Beating your wife... as a last resort...with a tiny stick or blade of grass... and can’t be hard enough to leave a mark... and can’t be on the face... and Muhammad (pbuh) himself never did it. So basically, you can lightly touch your wife’s arm with some grass.

And I haven’t seen the last one in there. Which verse are you talking about?
