Of course, Trumps debtors may want him to start paying up - which may be worse for him.

I'm not sure if the unwritten protections of former presidents apply to Trump. He broke so many of the unspoken rules of office, that he may not be deemed worthy of receiving the whole 'what happens if office stays in office' which they usually get.

Then again, maybe Dems will turn out to be the 'better man' and let him crawl away unpunished.

I'd think it's less about "being the better man" and more about not wanting to start some shit they'll really regret when they lose the office.

It's more likely that Joe Biden pardons him, if anything were to occur. I could see Trump getting into some legal trouble in state court, but he's not going to prison.

This only works if you think that Democrats expect to be committing the same number of crimes as Trump has. There is no equivalency between the crimes of the Trump administration (and Trump before taking office) and any other president, Republican or Democratic. It's not partisan, the way any other investigation would be.

Chris Wallace: (41:33)
You have repeatedly criticized the vice president for not specifically calling out Antifa and other left wing extremist groups. But are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia group and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha and as we’ve seen in Portland.

President Donald J. Trump: (41:57)
Sure, I’m will to do that.

Chris Wallace: (41:59)
Are you prepared specifically to do it.

President Donald J. Trump: (42:00)
I would say almost everything I see is from the left wing not from the right wing.

While Trump may not be a white supremacist himself, much of his rhetoric and comments like ¨stand back and stand by" does embolden them. That and along with his seeming inability to just outright say he condemns them(no where in his response was there a real condemnation, he just says he is "willing to" but never actually follows up on it) gives off a very questionable impression that throws his previous condemnation into doubt.

Trump is a white supremacist, but in the lazy, thoughtless way one would expect from the man who needs his briefings formatted like a child's story book and even then doesn't pay attention.

Apparently, you somehow argued that he was being interrupted, but he had more than enough time to state his case. Why are you offering defences you yourself don't even believe in?

Even if they weren't white nationalists (they are) they promote partisan violence in the US. That's enough reason to condemn them, believe it or not. When you have a group that's violent, nationalistic, Islamophobic, transphobic and misogynistic, saying that they are not white supremacist is not a reason not to condemn them.

Imagine having a bunch of neo-Aztecs sacrificing people by the thousands, and saying "well, they are not white nationalists!"

If Trump did what he did because he doesn't consider them white nationalists, why didn't he say so?

The claim was Trump won't condemn white supremacists, then it was show that he has, repeatedly. The the claim was moved to Trump wasnt willing to
condemn white supremacists at the debate, and when it was shown that he wasn't actually asked to the claim was moved to Trump wouldn't condemn the proud boys
But the proud boys aren't white supremists.

So ultimately the claim is that Trump won't condemn white supremacists and his repeated condemnation of them doesn't count because he wasn't willing to condemn the proud boys as white supremacists.

The main takeaway I got from his remarks is that even if Biden wins, it won't necessarily spell Armageddon for us in the Asia-Pacific. I just hope he's right because Trump's chances are looking increasingly slim by the day. 100,000 coronavirus cases is not something to be proud of. I got a real bad feeling about how the result will turn out.

For the umpteenth time, Trump's "strength" against China is largely aesthetic in nature, not substantial. On a material level, his foreign policy has made China stronger ln the world stage. His "America First" nationalist idiocy drove Europe straight into China's arms, his trade policy has left American allies in the pacific weakened and isolated, and now China exerts even more influence on international institutions.

Biden has said that Trump’s comments in the aftermath of the Charlottesville rally convinced him to run for president. In a video announcing his candidacy, Biden said Trump’s “very fine people on both sides” comment “assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it” and “shocked the conscience of the nation.”

Joe Biden started his entire campaign on a LIE. A lie that the MSM continues to report as if it were fact. Absolutely shameless.

Trump hasn't done enough to combat white supremacist violence is a far cry from the claim Trump has never condemned white supremacy.

And I'm not sure what the US government could do to prevent it beyond what already do.

That’s a deflection.

Anybody can condemn and say it has no place here. Words are cheap.

The problem? He hasn’t done much if anything in that area. He likes to show his autograph all the time; has he even signed an EO? Doubt it.

So his condemnation is..........meaningless.

Bahahah.

One side in this election is shameless, and it's not Biden. Even if one accepts the whole 'won't condemn white supremacy' thing as total fake news, Biden is still miles ahead of Trump in honesty.
