While not directly related, we now live in a world where a sitting US Supreme Court Justice (Kavanaugh) of the "small government" party has stated in an official opinion that the US Supreme Court has ultimate jurisdiction over determining State Election Laws over State Supreme Courts, and as a basis for this reasoning uses the claims from the minority dissenting opinion from a Supreme Court case as precedent.

For all the talk of others being political hacks, this one is pretty damn brazen.

I disagree here. I know 13 year olds can sometimes (many times) have weird opinions (I was 13, I know how it goes) but we should consider his opinions at least before we assume automatically they're wack as hell.

I was precocious. I had weird opinions much younger than that. By 13 I had graduated to offensive opinions!

Bullying kids can often lead to messed up results. It wouldn't be an excuse if they were already grown up but I would argue that the reason many people become fucked up adults is because of things they're subjected to as a kid.

Yes. For sure.

Still, this does not excuse far right opinions.

I'm sure one campaign donation later, Biden won't even talk about this deforestation.

Sure he does. I really believe that moderate centrist democrat Joe Biden cares less about helping his donors than the environment.

If he cared that much Lumen, they would have called him a commie at the Democratic debate and run him out like they did to his more left wing counterparts.

"Getting the country back from the doctors": Kushner bragged to Bob Woodward in April that Trump was taking the country back from the doctors.

He has described it as a "negotiated settlement" and that the US was moving swiftly through the "panic phase" and "pain phase" of the pandemic and that the country was at the "beginning of the comeback phase."

So, it pretty confirms what we already know and adds icing to the cake: that this was about Trump's re-election and that he would be the "open-up" President, which seems to be backfiring. My bigger question is: why in the fuck would say this to all people, Woodward? They do realize that Woodward would eventually release this stuff so it's even more painful how gullible (and narcissistic) they are. I'll give Woodward credit: he does a phenomenal job getting people to spill their guts. A great journalist he is.

Trumpism is incoherent, shocker.
Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.
