I think Trump might be in some form of unstable state right now. One moment he wants to attack Iran, the next he wants to leave Coalition allies in the lurch by just withdrawing all troops instantly from Afghanistan.

I'm thinking that he's too upset about losing to think clearly.

He's suffering from power withdrawal, aka the symptoms an authoritarian usually gets when he's unseated by the people. Getting high on power for 4 years has certainly gotten to his brain.
